Introduction to Fairness Criteria

What you’ll learn to do: Investigate fairness criteria and determine which criteria apply or not in various contest scenarios.

In the first part of this module, we learned how to select a winner using various voting methods.  We saw that different voting methods lead to different winners.  Sometimes one method seemed more or less fair than another method. Since fairness is the most important goal in any contest or election, we next turn our attention to four key fairness critera and see how well our methods hold up against these criteria.
